For Chinese New Year 2026, I had the pleasure of working with Madame Figaro on a feature devoted to the Year of the Fire Horse.

2026, a year under the energy of the Fire Horse
The year 2026 combines the Horse with the Fire element. This particularly dynamic combination brings an energy of movement, transformation and initiative.
The Horse is already associated with a very Yang energy: it likes to move forward, to take action and to feel free. With the Fire element, this momentum is strengthened even further. The year can therefore favour new projects and change, provided you keep impatience and haste in check.
Chinese New Year 2026 falls on 17 February, while the energetic transition from the Snake to the Horse takes place on 4 February 2026 according to the Chinese solar calendar.
The forecasts for the twelve Chinese signs
In this feature, I decode the year’s trends for each of the twelve animals in several areas: career and finances, relationships and love life, health and personal balance.
Some signs will benefit particularly from the Horse’s energy, while others will need to learn to cope with its fast pace and unpredictable nature.
